For myself, in my own experience, when I first came into this industry, I was focused on creating wealth. On what can I get, how much money can I make; focusing on all these external things, and it made me attached to the outcome of what I was doing. So if I was talking to a prospect, and let's say something didn't turn out the way I thought it should have, or they didn't join me in business -- I would get emotionally...well, a little upset.
You know, "why did that happen?", "how come this person didn't join me?", or "what did I do wrong?",
and...kind of always grasping for something, always needing something to make me successful, or to make me happy, or to make me fulfilled...and I think that that's one of the things that so many people when they first come into this industry really don't understand, is that you have to be detached from the outcome.
Because when you are trying to grasp for something, or trying to get something out of the situation, you're going to be emotionally upset if something doesn't work out the way you'd like. That's just setting yourself up for disappointment. And it's something that a lot of people can sense. I mean I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about -- but you know, if you've ever talked to somebody you may have noticed it in their voice, or you may have noticed it within yourself, where...you can tell that somebody really wants you to join their business.
Somebody really, really wants it.
And they kind of might want it a little more for themselves than they do for you, or vice-versa. That's why it's so important to really just "let go". Because when you can let go of all this reaching, and all this grasping, or 'I need this', and 'I need this'...or even...resisting. You know? 'I don't want this to happen', or 'this can't happen to me', and just kind of being more 'in the flow' of life, and just...going with the flow. And not needing anything to really happen, and not needing anything to NOT happen, and it kind of sounds...you know, it can sound a little ridiculous in this industry, when so many people are out to 'create'...you want to create wealth, you want to build a business, you want to be successful, and...that is understandable.
Yet, you don't realize that when you stop the trying and you let go...of that grip. That grip that you have on your life, and...you just let it all go. You know? Life, and sponsoring, and building businesses...it all will come so much easier. And you don't experience a lot of the resistance and the emotional setbacks...that you were before.
Because you're detached.
And it's really something that will allow you to breathe through, and really see the success that you were meant to have. You know? And I have just really realized that -- especially lately...that letting go of everything is really very key...it's very key, just...not only in business, but in life, as well. Just letting go of always needing something else, or resisting, and...you know, and -- I don't know, and when you do notice yourself if you're talking to a prospect, and it's really a big prospect and you'd love for them to be in your business...just really practicing that. Practicing just this detachment of...you know 'it's okay if they join, it's okay if they don't'.
Either way, it doesn't matter. Whatever is meant to happen, will happen. And just really having that abundant mentality. That...there's enough out there for everybody. There's enough wealth. there's enough prospects, there's enough of everything, and that you will get exactly what you need when you're ready for it!
