To begin with, there are as many different themes in bathroom accessories, as there are different bathrooms. Different combinations of some of the more popular accessories will give you a unique bathroom. There is a wide range of products whether you're looking to just spruce up your bathroom or do a major overhaul. Believe it or not, there are actually bathroom accessories out there that will make you feel like royalty.

But I'm getting way ahead of myself. If you live in an apartment, or other rental housing, you have a lot less options available to spruce up your bathroom. Let's face it, there's not a lot of point in spending your hard earned money to improve the resale value of someone else's property. However, that doesn't mean you have to live with a plain, boring bathroom either. Most often rental properties have a completely white bathroom. There are many accessories you can choose from, such as themed waste baskets, to shower curtains, towel racks, etc. The main thing to keep in mind is to make sure your accessories accentuate each other, and don't detract from the overall theme of the room.

Even so, just because you own your house doesn't mean you have to be real extravagant about your bathroom renovation, either. Some homeowners, whether by necessity or by choice, choose to do a bathroom renovation on a low budget. There are many things you can do that won't break the bank. From a coat of paint, light colors work best for small rooms, to mirrors, lighting, towels etc.

Now let's suppose you have a smaller bathroom with no windows. You want to make sure your lighting will provide adequate illumination for the many different uses it will see. For example, soft lighting is good for relaxation, whereas applying makeup requires brighter light. Light fixtures come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and colors. Some people prefer wall sconces on either side of the mirror, while others, like myself, prefer track lighting. There are also recessed lights, pendant lights, and many more.

Check this out, if you want to go for a real pampered feel, you need to check out this toilet. I was reading about a toilet that is called a 'self-serve toilet'. Can you imagine that? This toilet not only flushes for you, it gives you a cleanse, deodorizing, and warm drying too. On top of that, it will heat the seat for you, and close the lid when you're finished. No more being in the dog house because you forgot to put the seat down.

Now when it comes to the bathtub, there are a wide range of tubs to choose from. You can get a bathtub with a built in shower enclosure, or a spa tub with jets for soaking and relaxing. The choices for outfitting your bathroom are limitless. There is literally no end to the combination of accessories and fixtures that you can implement to make your bathroom not only unique, but also functional.

Let's face it, while cleanliness and hygiene is important, who wants to feel like they're sitting in an operating room? A simple picture that fits with your theme, and some aroma therapy candles can set a relaxing mood. After all, it's your bathroom so why not relax in comfort when you come home from that hared days work.
