Every year, advances are being made in the area of Wind Power. 2009 was not different and actually moved the technology even further.

The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) held one of their largest events in 2009. The goal was and still is to educate all who are interested in learning more about Wind Energy and Wind Turbines. The field is advancing so quickly, it is important to take advantage of events such as the one AWEA offers. Networking with those who are also interested in the energy field is the best way to advance your own knowledge.

Legislation is also advancing along with Wind Energy. Knowing how and when laws and regulations are implemented is crucial when purchasing or installing Wind Powered Systems. The AWEA is the only organization that comp dollars toward the advancement of Wind Energy.


I found some interesting future workshops that you may be interested in attending are;

AWEA Wind Power Health & Safety Workshop in Snowbird, UT on September 16-17, 2009. The feature of the conference will be on Occupational Safety and Health in the wind turbine industry. You will be brought up to date with the latest technology. The emphasis of safety will be covered thoroughly for those working with wind turbines. Safety is a must. A Wind Power Health & Safety Workshop will be held that you will not want to miss. It will be presented by professionals in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

AWEA Wind Resource & Project Energy Assessment Workshop will be held in Minneapolis, MN on September 30-October 1, 2009. This workshop covers the ever evolving wind industry. The workshop will cover from changing technology to the completed wind turbine and it's performance.


AWEA Wind Power Finance & investment Workshop will be held in New York, NY on October 13-14, 2009. Financial information is crucial when considering wind turbine power. AWEA Wind Power Finance & Investment Workshop will cover the changing economic climate and all the financial information opportunities.

AWEA Wind Power Supply Chain Workshop will be held in Detroit, MI, on November 3-5, 2009. This workshop will be held along with the Small and Community Wind Conference & Exhibition. This workshop draws those that have an interest in expanding the wind energy technology into homes, farms and utility interests.

The Supply Chain Workshop will be held along with the Small and Community Wind Conference so those attending have the option of workshops and viewing supply chain products.


Small and Community Wind Conference & Exhibition in Detroit, MI on November 3-5, 2009. This conference highlights the advantages of money saving wind energy.

AWEA brings together leaders, new participants, and those who touch on wind energy applications of all kinds. Emphasis will be on topics of technology, costs, zoning, tax revenues and other interests.

AWEA Wind Energy Fall Symposium will be held in Orlando, FL on November 18-20, 2009. Over 900 wind energy professionals will attend this workshop to share their knowledge. Use this workshop to network with those you may never have the opportunity to talk with again.

AWEA Offshore Wind Project Workshop will be held in Boston, MA on December 2-3, 2009. Attending this workshop will give you the opportunity to become familiar with state of the art offshore energy and the newest market, rules, and technology from Europe.
