Chicken pox which is otherwise known as the varicella disease is an acute and very contagious disease. The chicken pox disease is very common in children particularly those under the age of 12 years. Chicken pox is often mistaken for it to be measles because of the way it appears. It is a viral disease. This disease could be easily identified as it starts with a fever. After cure, this virus could remain hidden in the victim’s body and cause again later such as shingles.
Some of the symptoms of chicken pox are the following
1.A particular kind of rash that first appears on the body and face and slowly spreads to the limbs and scalp
2.It may also spread to the mouth and genital area.
3.This particular rash is often very itchy
4.It begins as small reddish spots and then develops into blisters in
a matter of a few hours
5.These blisters then turn into scabs after a couple of days
6.The victim may often also have running temperature
7.Chickenpox could last as long as 10 days in children and sometimes longer in adults
8.Adults could fall really ill and may take a long time to recover. They are more at the risk of facing complications as compared to children
Treating chicken pox do not require any major treatments or medicines, it could be done at your home too.
Following are a few treatments that could be followed:
* Giving regular baths after ever 3 to 4 hours, adding baking soda in the water that might calm the itching
