I have had several people I know ask me in the past about vitamins for healthy skin, and I thought that this might be something worth sharing with everyone. It seems to me that a lot of people that buy skin care products don’t pay enough attention to what it is that the formula is made from. What I am hoping is that I will be able to steer you in a direction of a formula that will give you the most benefit.

When shopping for a quality skin care formula you will more than likely have to wade through a sea of formulas that contain nothing inside that benefits your skin. Most of the cosmetics formulas available offer you nothing more than synthetics, which cannot offer your skin the essential nutrients that it needs in order to be healthy. What you need is an all natural formula if you want healthy skin.

The vitamins for healthy skin that play the most vital role are the omega fatty acids, omega-3 in particular. These essential fatty acids do a wonderful job of nourishing the skin, and they help to reduce wrinkles by keeping the skin plump and youthful. The way that most people get their healthy doses of omega-3 fatty acids is through the inclusion of fish in their diets.

Salmon is the most famous source for obtaining these nutrients, but they are not the only oily fish in the water. There are also mackerel, lake trout, flounder, albacore tuna, and hoki fish that provide fatty acids and you can receive benefits from eating any of these at least twice per week. You just have to be careful about where your fish came from, so that you lower the risk of toxins.

While excellent sources of vitamins for healthy skin, all of these species are considered predatory fish. Depending on the condition of the water from which they came, they could contain high levels of mercury, dioxin, PCBs, and chlordane. They advertise farmed salmon as being a safe source of fatty acids, but these fish have been given antibiotics and other chemicals, and because they are grain fed their levels of omega- fatty acids are lowered.

What you may want to do instead of depending on questionable fish is simply start a daily regimen of dietary supplementation with fish oil. The safest fish oil products will contain a combination of hoki fish, from the pristine waters of New Zealand’s Southern Ocean, and South Pacific tuna.

Now for skin care ingredients that are rich in fatty acids.

Most people do not realize that these essential vitamins for healthy skin can be found in fruits and vegetables. Using a formula on your skin that contains compounds such as Maracuja passion fruit extract, grape seed oil, and avocado oil are rich in fatty acids. Avocado also offers you a bonus in the fact that it promotes the growth of new collagen, further enhancing your anti aging efforts.

Omega fatty acids are the vitamins for healthy skin that you need. Try a combination of natural skin care formulas, and fish oil supplements, in order to see results that are out of this world. To find out where you can get both of these from the same company, check out my web site listed in the bio section.
