Everyone who knew him called him Deckchair Harry, because he brought a deckchair with him to observe things when he went to visit any of his sites. He’d just sit and watch guys sweeping up with their Fuller Brush brooms or clearing away wood and bricks after a long day’s work. Times were tough right now, he often told anybody who’d listen, and he’d go on to say that the only reason he was still in the game was because the current recession had suddenly made things exciting again.
