One of the most obvious advantage is that a large abundance of online training can be done at your own pace, which is a gigantic advantage for individuals always on the go.

Getting your Online Degree has many other advantages that most people never realize. However, there are a few disadvantages to online learning that we need to take a closer look at. Lets find out why eLearning is the way of academics in the busy world of today and what can make it not-so-great for you.

One of the best advantages of eLearning is the cost is so much cheaper and consumer friendly compared to the traditional classroom setting. Remember, your overhead such as books, teacher's salaries and other materials will not be needed or affect you. Usually, videos are created, with a variety of information for you to absorb and placed on the internet for you to view and access. Having minimal overhead means you will save money with online training because the company will not have costs in excess which they will need to pass on to you. Thats good news, yes?

One big disadvantage to learning online is that you may not be that computer literate. Even though the price would definitly satisfy yourself, you may have a difficult time maneuvering around an online course if you have never touched a computer before.
My advice would be to take a short, basic, simple computer course. Usually they can be found for free at your local library. Go check it out before you start.

Another disadvantage would have to be not having a live human being that you can ask questions (which I am sure you will have some eventually), like in a classroom, may not be available to you. Do not let me confuse you here, the programs DO offer assistance to any student that needs it, but the type of help that you may be looking for like one on one assistance will not be there. This can be frustrating especially if you have never done this before.

Like anything else,eLearning has the ups and downs, but in all reality, it is the best way to get any education, if you live on a busy schedule and an even small budget. Do not get discouraged because you can overcome these negative points quickly.
