Great nations always celebrate their independence day with great honour, dignity and immense sense of pride. They are well aware of the significance of their independence, which they got after a great sacrifices and untiring struggle of their leaders and hardships faced by their people. Pakistani nation also underwent all such trials and tribulations in the process of getting their separate homeland where they can perform their religious duties, live according their culture, traditions and societal norms without any fear and restrictions. The leaders such as Muhammad Ali Jinnah, commonly called Quaid-e-Azam (the great leader), Allama Iqbal, liaquat Ali Khan, Mulana Muhammad Ali Johar and others worked hard sincerely, selflessly and with great spirit and enthusiasm to help Muslims of the subcontinent to get their separate land. Inspired by great leadership qualities of these leaders and jolted by thought-provoking and fiery couplets of Allama Iqbal, Muslims gelled together to struggle ceaselessly till they attained their desired goal in shape of Pakistan--- the land of Pures--- as their homeland.

Pakistani nation is proud of their leaders and their country. Every year, on 14th August, they celebrate their independence day with great happiness, honour and pride. Official, private building and houses are decorated with flags, buntings and illumined by lighting in the expression of great joy felt by the nation on this auspicious day. Different programmes and activities are conducted, highlighting the importance of the day. Lectures are delivered, inculcating in the minds of young generation as to how important and significant this Independence is for them, and how they are going to safeguard their country from all internal and external threat to its sovereignty in days to come.
14th August is a red letter day in the history of Pakistan. Every patriotic Pakistan, realising its significance, pledges to be loyal to his country till his death. They vow to drop the last drop of their blood and last ounce of their strength in defence of their beloved country. Every individual renews his firm faith and pledge to be honest, loyal and faithful to his land and work harder than ever sincerely and selflessly for the progress and prosperity of their country he/she love to the core of their hearts.

No patriotic Pakistani ever wishes to leave this country in search of green pastures in the foreign land happily. They love to serve their country to the best of their ability, potential and talent. A true Pakistan feels sorrow to see corruption and other vices being prevalent in his/her country. But, at the same time, they are hopeful of purging their country of all evils and vices.
The independence day inspires and motivates the nation to be alive to the fact that a great future for Pakistan lies ahead provided they themselves are committed to be sincere and loyal to their country. Pakistani nation, I repeat, is proud of their country in true sense of word. The people of Pakistan are ever ready to make their country better to best, helping it rub shoulders with the developed countries in the comity of nations.
