• The first step while planning a theme party is gauging the occasion. If it’s your boy’s birthday you can be extremely adventurous and have a cowboy or superhero themed party. If it’s your little girl throw her a princess or Little Mermaid themed party. These are just suggestions; when it comes to theme parties there are more than 1000 themes you can choose from!

• If you are planning a party for your friend or spouse then princesses or superheroes will just not do! You will need something more mature and fun. How about a Hollywood theme party? You can even opt for an Oscar night or go completely flower power and do everything retro style.

• Once you have decided on your theme choose the venue for the event. If you are choosing a club or hotel, ask them if they have hosted theme parties there before and if there are any party accessories or decorations you could use from it. If you are planning it at home, look around your property and decide if it is going to be indoors or outdoors? Can you fit the number of people comfortably and make a list of all the things you will need.

• Other than the normal party accessories like cups, napkins, plates, glasses you will need party decorations befitting the theme. Make sure even the most basic party accessories are in tune with the theme. If the theme has particular colours you can also rename some cocktails and add them to the menu!

• If you are planning a party outdoor you may need a marquee. Choose the marquee according to the theme of the party. If its Oscar night go with a classy sheer white tent. If it’s Spiderman then choose a lovely red or blue coloured marquee!

• Make sure your have party decorations to enhance the theme of the party. If you are having a ball, use masks and lovely banners all over the venue. If it’s a princess party opt for tiaras and wands for cowboys have little horses, guns and hats for all the children, they will love it.
