During the holiday season most people tend to gain weight especially around Thanksgiving thru to Christmas. To most of us, that is an extra 3-5 pounds that we really don't need. Most of us wish that this holiday weight gain will magically disappear but it will not just fall off just because it is now the New Year. But I have good news for you. The weight can fall off with a little effort and determination it can be done.

The best part of this weight loss tip that I am going to share with you is that it is not that hard to do. Your friends may tell you that you need to join a gym and replace everything in your diet with fruits, vegetables, and fish. In the long run this is not a bad idea to be healthier. Right now we are just going to concentrate on what you can to do to get rid of that extra 3-5 pounds of holiday weight gain.


Let us start off with diet. Your diet is one of the main reasons you have gained the weight and I am sure that right now you are eating 3 large meals each day. These meals may consist of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is nothing wrong with this. However, we need to make a few changes. The trick to this is that we need to change those 3 large meals into 3 smaller meals. With this we would then add a couple of healthy snacks in between breakfast and lunch, and between lunch and dinner.

This is a great way to jump-start your metabolism which means that you'll automatically start burning more fat. I am not going to tell you what is healthy and what isn't. I am sure you already know this. But try to make an effort to eat healthier. When you go out with your friends and they are getting the big burgers and large fries open up a yogurt and grab a fruit.


Doing this will help you to develop a habit and pretty soon you won't even crave eating un-healthy foods anymore. Your body will start reacting to those unhealthy foods when you attempt to eat them.

The next important step is to be more physically active. If you live close enough to your job, then ride your bike to work instead of taking the car. Instead of taking the elevator, try to walk up those stairs. Go out and do some activities with the kids outside. You way have a trail nearby that you can walk do some soothing scenery walks and before you know it you will be physically fit. Just by doing these simple things will make a difference in the way you feel and best of all, you will lose weight.

First: Fast weight loss consist of a multi-faceted technique that composes mindset, exercise, and in other ways, diet supplements. Begin by studying a diet food plan that you can easily become adapted to. Include a exercise plan that follows an even fifteen minutes a day like light walking, running, swimming, and dancing.


Second: Set realistic goals. The ability to focus on these goals allows one on a diet to quickly lose those extra pounds. With discipline a dieter will never be discouraged and lose focus.

Third: Listen to your body. Each and everyone's body metabolism is different depending on their weight loss programs and plans. Try changing one program for another to compensate for the body's reaction. Exercise program must be suitable to one's body, for others may not able to exercise as hard as others can. If walking is all that can be done, then walking is the best exercise for you.

Fourth: Eat more fibers for it makes a person full quicker and stimulates the stomach longer, slowing the rate of digestion. A single serving of whole grain bread moves fat through the digestive system a lot quicker. Grains turn into blood sugar that increases the body's insulin level. Therefore, making the body more energized and therefore telling the body when it should stop burning fats or start storing them.

Fifth: stay away from fried foods especially deep-fried for this contains a great amount of fat. Although fish and chicken appear leaner than beef, this white meat can have more fat than when a beef is fried. It is recommended for those on strict diet to go for more grilled food as this does not have less amount of fat after the food has been prepared.

Sixth: drink lots of fluid. Drinking at least six to eight glasses of water a day keeps the body refreshed and hydrated. Since weight loss depends on how the body eliminates body wastes, the body must stay hydrated.

in the end, discipline and consistency is still the best option and a necessity for rapid weight loss success. Light dieting, exercise, and right amount of supplement present in a regular everyday work out will result in faster weight loss which is better than having you return to those old bad habits as this would only lead to gaining more pounds than when the weight loss plan has started.
