Michigan foreclosures for sale run a very wide range of styles. You might find a singlewide and quite aged mobile home on a baron tract of land near a swamp listed next to a multi million-dollar mansion overlooking the cliffs or the dunes on one of the Great Lakes that surround the lower and upper peninsulas of the state. There is a wide range of available foreclosures here due largely in part to the recent issues causing a quick cutback in the auto industry which was the life’s blood of the state and the decline in tourism due to no one having money to vacation lately. All of these things combine to make a very bad outlook for the state with no one being able to afford to do things or even keep up the mortgage payments.
As a result we see the foreclosure rates in Michigan rise and people are opting to let the banks take back the homes that they can no longer afford to own. That puts a lot of property on the foreclosure market here and there is, as mentioned, no shortage in types and price ranges to choose from.
The southern portion of the state was more dependant on the industrial aspects of life and the northern half of the lower peninsula was more reliant on tourism for money with the upper peninsula relying on sportsman activities like hunting and fishing to sustain the economy.
As a result of the state’s economic problems the entire state is in a problematic condition and homes are literally flooding the foreclosed homes market making the prices drop due to the over stuffing of the market. That is a good thing for anyone looking to get a bargain in purchasing the property of their dreams in the state of Michigan.
