If you feel you can handle it, have a cup of coffee. Many prescribed medications for migraines these days have some caffeine content in them, so drinking a mug of coffee will combat the migraine. However, don't drink any more than 1 mug and it should be straight coffee and not a latte etc. This will only upset your stomach. While this does seem simple and will work to some level, it is not really a ground breaking new migraine treatment.
If not then a cold damp flannel will do the trick. Again not a cutting edge new migraine treatment but the simple things can be very effective.
