Numerous people have taken this depressing state of mind that locks them into a never ending cycle of ill health and grief. Some people will try to excuse consumption junk food by spewing depressing statements similar to that. I promise you that eating whatever whenever will make you unhappy and if you are really candid you will admit it.

But the point is that most people exhaust the first half of there lives ruining there bodies and then spend the other half trying to put it back together. That mode of thinking is funny until you take a look at the typical emergency room and the pain and pain. We are a not only an obese nation but a sick nation because of what we consume.

I think by now I have your attention and if it's good to know that there is a way out. Doctors are now admitting to what most lifestyle experts have know for years, there is a direct relation between lifestyle and health. Just take a look at the health care industry in the US, a multi billion dollars are year industry with individual corporations making ridicules profits on the sufferings of others. Now I am all for capitalism but making a profit out of the pain and pain of others is not capitalism but barbarism. There is no money in preventative care so this method of lifestyle gets very little acceptance within the medical community.

Even without the national stats, we know that there is something dreadfully wrong when our kids are getting illnesses that the aged would get. We need to begin looking more at preventative medicine and less on finding ways to cover up the symptoms.

I know I said forget about stats but I do not want you to take my word for it so here are some disturbing trends.
If you have a BMI of over 30 then you are considered obese. Many common diseases that we face in the Us is as a result of the obesity crisis.

With the annual health care cost due to obesity in the US doubling in the last decade to 147 billion dollars a year, we all are paying either directly of indirectly for this pandemic. They say that the Medicare and Medicaid programs will be bankrupt in 10-15 years time and if the cost of health care keeps rising I thing we could shave off 5 years off that estimate.

I do not want anyone to feel similar to I am being critical of anyone, that is not my intention, I want all of us to begin taking a role at combating the problem and not to feel similar to its not going to affect you. Most people are dying slow agonizing low quality of life deaths, this is completely avoidable.
Is there really anything we could do about it? I know the answer to that is yes. In the next coming days we are going to look at some things we could do to combat obesity and live a more fulfilling fit and healthy life.
