This is the seventh article in a series about important factors people should consider when a network marketing, MLM, or home based business opportunity presents itself.
In this edition, we will look at an important factor called Marketing Plan. This is actually quite vital to consider for upcoming network marketing, MLM, or home based business. Marketing Plans is the precursor to actually selling.
It is critical that you understand that part of a Marketing Plan is to have some expectations established before you start. The numbers will vary depending on your industry but you should have an expectation of how much traffic that comes to your site will turn into actual leads. Then you have a goal or percentage of those leads that actually do purchase from you. Regardless of the industry, you have to know that a large traffic volume will generate more leads, which will generate more people interested in buying.
An effective marketing plan needs to be distinguished by budget ranges. Your first question to ask your prospective business partner is if they have a clear plan in writing that you can read through. This is a harmless request that should help performing your due diligence.
The second question is if there are training materials on each of the various methods to marketing. Remember that network marketing, MLM, and home base businesses are fast growing industries where many people joining have little to no prior background in marketing or sales. You need to ensure the business opportunity provides this level of training so your understand how to go about marketing online. You should understand the various mediums to choose from:
1) Article Marketing
2) Press Release Marketing
3) Blog Postings
4) Social Media Marketing
5) Video Marketing
6) Free Classifieds/Forum Marketing
Third question to ask is whether the company can recommend and show methods associated with various budget ranges. They should recommend a general guide on how to spend your budgets on the most effective means in the industry.
Does the potential prospecting company recommend time duration for each element within your marketing strategy? Logic should obviously dictate that you should not spend all your time on one single marketing strategy. It should be understood that your marketing plan should contain a system that is running 24/7/365 for your business. As a new network marketer, you need all the direction, guidance, and training possible to achieve success.
