With colored gowns a key trend this year and pink being a perennial favorite amongst brides, it is little wonder that many will choose pink as their wedding scheme. But for some the understated elegant look just isn’t what does it for them and they would much prefer something far more glitzy!

So to find out if the pink princess look is more you than virginal white, read through the following checklist and find out if your style is more Katie Price (Jordan) than JLo!

1.To you tiaras should be dramatic statements covered in thousands of sparkling diamontes and crystals. And so tall you have to duck your head when entering the church.
2.Everything has to be pink and the more the better! Katie Price’s swarovski encrusted gown with huge pink tulle skirt is just up your street.

3.You are firm friends with fake tan. Either from a bottle or from the sun bed, you really don’t care which.
4.Your wedding is your chance to be princess for the day and that can mean only one thing - bling! You just didn’t realize that rock on your finger would weigh so much - how exhausting!
5.When it comes to bridesmaids you are going to need lots. After all with a train that long you will need all the attendants you can get to make sure it glides up the aisle behind you!

But seriously, that much pink and bling isn’t for everyone. If you love the princess look, but not so keen on all the pink then consider using the color sparingly and in smaller details. You could have a pink sash on your wedding dress or have your beading done in pale pink crystals. Choose a gown in blush pink which is very pale, you could accessorize it with darker pink shoes and pink jewels.

Combine pink with ivory or champagne for an elegant look. Dress your bridesmaids in pink dresses, with contrasting sashes, whilst you opt for a traditional ivory gown instead. Accessorize with pink crystals in your tiara, pink elbow length gloves and pink jewels.

You can decorate your reception with an abundance of pink flowers, crystal chandeliers and pink table linens. Scatter your tables with pink crystals and give your guests pink wedding favors in the form of pink candles shaped like Cinderella’s carriage, flowers or hearts.

Pink is an incredibly pretty color but can be over the top if used too much. Whilst a pink princess look may not be for everyone, there is no doubt it is the epitome of princess chic! Whether you choose just one shade or combine several there will be no doubt in your guest’s minds that your wedding is all about YOU!
