Seeking internal "hemroid" treatment? Hemorrhoids is not only an irritating condition, it is also not easy to spell correctly. But it doesn't matter. Regardless of how you spell it, you still want the best way to treat your condition.

Internal "hemroid" treatment tends to be a slightly more personal and invasive treatment as the hemorrhoids are inside the body and often need a doctor to ensure that no real harm has been caused.

Hemorrhoids are caused when the rectum experiences sever pressure and the muscles around the rectum are weakened. The blood vessels around the anus become swollen and large and hang inside the rectal canal like little sacks. Hence they are called internal hemorrhoids.

Internal hemorrhoid treatments include rubber ligation, injection sclerotherapy, infrared photocoagulation, laser coagulation and hemorrhiodectomy. The type of treatment used is dependent upon the severity of the internal hemorrhoids.

Rubber litigation is when a rubber band is tied around the base of the internal hemorrhoid. This action leads to the blood supply being cut off to the hemorrhoid and as a result, the hemorrhoid becomes shriveled up and eventually falls off the rectal canal.

Injection sclerotherapy involves the hemorrhoid being injected with a chemical liquid that causes the mucous membrane to become swollen. Because of this swelling, the veins aren't able to receive blood and the hemorrhoid ends up shrinking because of no blood supply.

Infrared photocoagulation occurs when an infrared light is exposed to the hemorrhoid which causes the blood to clot leading to the hemorrhoid shrinking because no blood is being pumped through.

Laser coagulation is a new therapy where an electric current is aimed at the hemorrhoid resulting in the blood supply being shut down and causing the hemorrhoid to shrink.

Hemorrhoidectomy is for more severe cases and involves actual surgical removal of the internal hemorrhoid from the rectal canal. This is the most invasive procedure for internal hemorrhoid removal.

Internal "hemroid" treatment involves a number of options and while they may be slightly uncomfortable, they are definitely necessary to help rid you of internal hemorrhoids.
