Removal of belly fat is a hot topic among women. Many women suffer because of belly fat, not only because it is unhealthy, but because it spoils the looks and attractiveness of the figure as well. Like men, the reasons why women develop belly fat are varied. These reasons can be intake of high caloric food (the most common reason of all), ageing, heredity, and sedentary lifestyle. For women, two unique reasons are hormonal changes and pregnancy.

Belly fat is a health problem, for both men and women. People who face belly fat problems may develop serious health problems such as high blood pressure, heart diseases, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and gall bladder problems, among others. Therefore, to avoid all health related problems you need to change your life style. You should start by doing some simple daily regular exercises. Following a proper diet plan will also help you to get rid of belly fat.

If you are serious about losing belly fat, it is necessary to follow a doctor’s recommended daily caloric intake. In other words, you need to control your daily calorie consumption. And, whether you are on weight loss program or are trying to get rid of belly fat, it is suggested that you eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, which will provide you many of the necessary nutrients, vitamins, and fibers. This will also keep your stomach full and will reduce your craving for eating in between meals. The fibers in fruits and vegetables will help ease your bowel movements and expel waste faster from the gut. Since this is one of the major reasons for a big belly, removal of excess waste from the stomach is necessary for developing a well toned mid section.

Drink at least 2200 milliliters of water in a day, which is necessary for a normal person. This will help to maintain health by enabling proper metabolism within the body. Avoid drinking carbonated beverages; they are known as empty calories because they do not have any nutrition, only sugar. Carbonated beverages are one of the main reasons for people these days having belly fat. Drinking alcohols in excess is also one of the leading causes of belly fat, because of the calories contained in it. Moreover, alcohol tends to trigger the production of cortisol hormone, which is crucial in depositing fat in the body and thus helps in the development of belly fat.

It is not necessary for you to join a gym to exercise. Exercise can be done even by doing regular house work such as mopping floors, cleaning up the house, gardening and washing clothes. These chores will keep you busy and active.

For developing a flat stomach, you can also opt for swimming or water exercise, which not only reduce belly fat, but help in improving overall health and control weight. Even hula-hoop is a great exercise for reducing belly fat. Hula-hoops help burn up to five thousand calories per hour.

These are three great ways to reduce belly fat - controlling diet, regular exercise, and doing household work.
