Collecting lapel pins has been a popular past-time for many collectors over the years. Many people collect Olympic pins, Disney pins, and themed pins showcasing a certain brand, image, or message.

Disney pin trading is very popular not only for kids, but adults too! On a recent trip to Disney World, we stopped by the pin trading booths and talked to many fanatics about their pin collections.


Pin collecting can be a fun, memorable and exciting way to learn the value of trading, collecting, and economic values. Many types of lapel pins exist that are perfect for trading, and many new ideas hit the market every day.

There are a number of pin trading ceremonies around the nation, where collectors can show up with their pin collections to show off and trade for other lapel pins. This is a great way for youth to become familiar with economics and fair trade, in a positive and social environment.

Different types of lapel pins make for perfect collecting and trading, as you can collect a broad variety of lapel pins, not just the same type over and over. Different colors, sizes, platings, backings. Even pins that light up, move or bobble are traded and collected!
