Anybody wondering what to do in Tucson will find plenty of activities and attractions around the city. Set among cacti in the desert, there is a rich cultural scene in the city, as the city's residents take pride in their University of Arizona Wildcats and the city's history. For anybody interested in the city's history, the Arizona Historical Society has a collection of historical documents and artifacts pertaining to Tucson's history. The society was founded by early settlers and originally called the Pioneer Historical Society.

There is also the Fort Lowell Museum, which is located on the grounds of a military fort. It was established in 1873 during the 'Indian Wars' and remained in operation until it was abandoned in 1891. Museum buffs, art enthusiasts and those interested in the history of the city and region will not be disappointed.
