An old guy friend arrived at my door once to cry on my shoulder about the difficulties he was experiencing with his wife. She was performing all of these unusual things, he saw her embracing another guy in a parking garage, she would no longer lie in the same room with him etc.
Seriously any 9 year old could have recognized she was deceiving him. But he was not able to accept it.
Why? These were his answers why, in order:
1. He buys all the expenses and he doesn't cheat on her, so there is no reason she should cheat?
2. He asked her if she was deceiving him and she denied it.
3. He's smarter than her.
This is the typical case study of a person who doesn't believe the laws of life impact them.
He couldn't "get over himself".
And the fact of the matter is that most people thinks this way at one time or another.
If you don't believe that it can occur with you, if you think that you are that only unique person in the universe where the laws of life don't impact you, you're going to have a sad surprise.
