There is a high demand for drivers right now in the industry and there are many schools nationwide open and ready to train you for your new career as an over the road driver.
Every day is a new adventure in a new location. You’re not stuck in an office with a boss staring over your shoulder all the time. As a lease purchase owner operator you would be the boss of your truck and the business decisions would be up to you.
Your work days could be up to 14 hours with 11 of that behind the wheel driving an average of 2500 miles per week. There are other options though. You may choose to be a local driver or a short haul driver that is home every night. Local drivers usually are paid by the hour and make less than an over the road (OTR) driver.
You will find there are a variety of options available once you have finished your training and gained your Commercial Drivers License (CDL). You may wish to pull a tanker and deliver gas to your local convenience stores, deliver groceries to the local stores, or drive over the road. The future will be up to you!
