They say desperate time calls for desperate measures. What American President, Barack Obama is doing can actually, in a way, be called desperate. However, this desperation is not bad; it's a good one to get more and more Americans educated, employed and self-dependent.
Everybody knows that educated citizens make a prosperous country. Keeping the same thing in mind, Obama has launched his new Scholarship for Mothers program according to which single moms, stay-at-home moms, working moms and housewives will all get an opportunity to continuestart their education on government fund.
The total amount of this scholarship has been kept up to $10,000 for a candidate for one year. The good thing is that there is no tension of returning this money back as the amount is sponsored by the government. There is no interest andor tax on the amount either.
However, for some mothers money is not the only constraint, it's actually one of the constraints. Another big hindrance in a mother's returning back to school is time. Most mothers are working multiple jobs to manage food for their family. Keeping this in mind, the President has categorically asked the universities to come up with online degree programs for such mothers. The scholarship amount is equally applicable to these online courses.
The process of applying for scholarship is fairly easy. After you have chosen the college where you want to study and decided on the course that you want to pursue, you need to fill an additional FASFA form at the time of applying for admission, and then wait for the approval.
