Obama Wants Mothers to Finish College

It's been said time and time again how important an education is. Never has it been more true than now, especially for women. Talk to ten women, and you're likely going to hear ten stories why they either didn't start school, or didn't finish. For most, each story boils down to lack of money.

For women, often the first stop after high school isn't the admissions office, but the front office. Jobs and family take priority, meaning they either never finish or fail to start college. Jobs and family take priority as couples try to reproduce the single-income model of their parents. The modern reality is, the single-income dream is no more.

It's not just the family that is broke. The entire country is struggling, and the outlook is that it's going to get worse before it gets better. That means now is the perfect time for women to go back to school and finish the degree they dreamed of, not to mention help themselves in the job market after graduation. Of course, money still poses a problem for most. Fortunately, President Obama is making funds available through private sources to help mothers and women go back to school.

This means there are scholarships available for to $10,000 to make sure women can go back and finish their educations. Like everything there is a catch: The federal government only has so much money to put into the program, and once it's gone, it's gone. So if you're serious about going back to school, you have to act fast.
