Fall is the season for changing colors, from the bright greens and pastels of summer, to beautiful deep reds, golds and greens of fall. Along with changing textures in the foliage of the trees and cool autumn breezes, come many beautiful fall weddings and lives joining. Fall seems to be one of the most popular times of the year for weddings, and can be accentuated by the natural backdrops and flowers that are in season for fall. While flowers of all varieties can be shipped from overseas all year long it can be very expensive.

Knowing what is in season for your fall wedding can save you big bucks. There are a variety of flowers that are in season year round along with many beautiful deep colored flowers and plants in season during the fall that can be used to adorn any wedding venue and reception. You can save money by choosing flowers that are in season whether you are using a florist or doing the flowers yourself.

There are several options of flowers for fall arrangements and a few on the top of my list that are relatively inexpensive including, Sunflowers, Gerber Daises, Mums, Black-eyes Susans, Chrysanthemums, Dahlia, and Gladiolas. In addition to roses, which are available in multiple colors year around. Many of these flowers are hearty and bold enough to be used as single stems, as an even bigger cost savings.

Two flowers at the top of my list for fall wedding are Sunflowers and Gerber Daisies which allow for budget savers with a gorgeous look. They can be used in bouquets or alone in a single stem. Mums are also available during the fall in a variety of colors and could be substituted for flower arrangements and placed through the wedding ceremony.

Fall flower choices are mostly found in deep color tones, but if you would like to add some lighter tones, you could add a few to your bouquets along with those in season and still save money. What flowers are available varies by region and climates, so make sure you check to see what flowers would help you save your budget and still achieve the look you want.

Some of the flowers that are available year round include Roses, Carnations, Eucalyptus, Gardenia, Gladiolus, Heather, Lily of the Valley, Orchids, Portea, Scabiosa, and Delphinium along with the Calla Lily. However, if you are on a tight budget, you may want to choose something other than lilies, because they are more expensive than some other choices.

With the beautiful changing leaves of the trees in fall, they allow for use of beautiful foliage in arrangement and along tables. I feel magnolia leaves are gorgeous decorations and could be accompanied by some autumn leaves and pillar candles for jaw dropping center pieces. You can add decorative ribbon for a little added punch. Pepper stems are also a neat idea to be used as foliage in arrangements.

Along with the cool autumn breezes comes warms color tones with the beautiful flowering plants and changing leaves of the trees. Fall is a great setting for a wedding and it seems many couples take advantage of the wonderful deep colored backdrops. By doing your research and choosing flowers that are in season during your wedding could help to save you money, especially since one of the largest expenses of a wedding is the flowers.
