Around one-fourth of the people who are victims of lung cancer do not even realize they suffer from such a disease. On normal circumstances in these cases, when a chest x-ray is done due to some other reason, the disease is hence identified. But most people do develop the symptoms associated with lung cancer. Lung cancer today and has always been a disease that is easily preventable because more than 90% of the victims have suffered from lung cancer only because of just one major reason, that being smoking. The best way of preventing such a fatal disease as lung cancer is not to let loved ones smoke and not smoke.
