So just what is the Master Cleanse salt water flush all about? The Master Cleanse, sometimes also known as the Lemonade diet, is a very good detox program which has been around for years. This naturally cleanses your body internally.

The Cleanse takes ten days where your main nourishment is a lemonade drink made of fresh lemon juice, maple syrup, water and a pinch of cayenne pepper. That's it. You are also allowed herbal teas and extra water. This diet will enable you to remove toxins and waste matter from your digestive system.

The recipe for one glass of lemonade is as follows:

2 tablespoons of fresh organic lemon juice
2 tablespoons of organic maple syrup
1/10 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper
10 oz good quality water

You should consume between six and twelve glasses of this lemonade every day.

The salt water flush can give you additional benefits while you are on the program as it acts like an enema. Here is the recipe:

1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons of organic uniodized sea salt
1 quart of water
1 teaspoon of fresh lime or lemon juice if required

You should have this on an empty stomach as soon as you get up. To be honest, this doesn't taste good and can be hard to drink it all. Just try sipping it until it's gone. Or you can drink say a quarter at one gto and then drink the remainder gradually. If you feel nauseous drinking it, just slow down and sip. If you can't drink everything, then drink as much as you can.

Don't go too far away from the bathroom as you'll definitely need it. Most people who have done this have had a bowel movement within an hour of drinking the salt water flush. In fact you could even have quite a few bowel movements. Should this not be the case, then next time add some more salt.

This is great to help get rid of excess toxins and waste material from your colon. Your blood has almost the same gravity as salt water, which means that your kidneys and your blood will not absorb the salt water and it will just flush out your digestive system.

Should you have any problems with this, please ask your physician for his advice.

The salt water flush together with the Master Cleanse will give your digestive system a much needed cleanse. The flush is a natural enema, it's cheap and effective.
