There's a few serious problems that couples have, relationship cheating is one of the most serious of all. For each situation, the reasons will vary. But it really doesn't matter what the reason is. In any real relationship, both partners have made a commitment to each other. As with any solid relationship, both love and respect are a very important part of it. When
relationship cheating goes on, the respect for your partner is gone, or it was never there.
Love is only part of a relationship and unlike the song, "love will keep us together", is not always the case. Each situation has to be evaluated in itself, and therefore cannot be grouped in general. What I can say after 41+ years of marriage is that nobody does any kind of relationship cheating, while having respect for their partner. But can it be forgiven? My answer is this. It depends on many things.
First, did the cheating go on for a long time, or was it a one night stand. Maybe sex wasn't involved, but can also be looked at as cheating. You see, there are different types of cheating, some much more serious than others. That's why each situation needs to be evaluated because, some can be easily fixed, while other times its more difficult. Children are always a factor to take into consideration. Money is also a very important part of a relationship cheating evaluation. But don't be fooled, relationship cheating is never OK, but can be forgiven in the right cases.
Talking is the best way to come to any kind of understanding, and also to find out what went wrong. You have to decide if your relationship was solid enough to make it work and forgive, or you might see that it was a rocky relationship with problems right along. Should you move on or should you stay, that's an answer you need to come up with on your own. Don't rush into one way or the other. Take your time to calmly think it out before you arrive at your answer. Be true to yourself because your answer can be life changing.
