Is article marketing an effective strategy? It will. Using nothing more than article marketing, I've created more than 1000 leads over the last 60 days online. I've only actually been doing any online promotional strategies for the last couple of months. If more people understood how to do article marketing the right way, they wouldn't waste so much money on PPC advertising. My goal here is simple. I want you to have some immediate ideas that will help you make more money, faster with your article marketing efforts.
The number one thing you want to do is create useful and relevant information for your readers. You may be thinking 'what does he mean?' Simply put, you need to be a useful resource for helping people solve their most important problems with your articles. I've read articles before that were related to the same subject as a targeted search, but weren't useful to the problem. Articles like that never work very well for anyone who uses them. It's important to talk to the problem directly and provide some useful insights for your audience. Being useful and related with your concepts will help you rank in the search engines more than any other factor.
Second, you want your offer in the resource box to be specifically targeted towards your reader. Simply put, you want to have an author resource box that solves the exact problem that created your article in the first place. It's important that your resource box is viewed with continuity with your core article message. Get the drift? Make your offer as relevant as possible.
Next, if you want anything at all to rank well in Google, don't expect it to if it has no other sites linking to that specific page. When I say a LOT I mean A LOT. Just because an article is relevant and helpful doesn't mean people will see it. You should bookmark your articles on Digg at the minimum, and I prefer to use a popular social bookmarking service called 'OnlyWire'. That will immediately give your articles backlinks, attention, and more traffic than if you don't do it.
The last idea I have for you is that you need to create A LOT of original content. Most marketers that I meet simply don't ever create enough useful information to make a difference for any of their websites. How much content do you need to make? As many as you possibly can. Every single day I create one article personally, and that has been enough for me over time.
