Assassin beer pong is a game thats slowly gaining popularity among the underground beer pong circuits around the country. In Assassin beer pong, it isn't just enough that you hit a cup, you have to call the cup out first and then hit it. This variation of the popular drinking sport really challenges players to use their aim and not just shoot for a group of cups.
If you aren't familiar with how to play regular beer pong, you set up 6 or 10 cups in a triangular formation on both sides of a table and take turns throwing balls into the cups. The first team to sink all of their opponent's cups is the winner! Traditionally the game is played with beer in the cups and each time a cup is hit the player must drink that cup, but you can play with water as well.
Be warned that these games can take a long time if you are not skilled players. In fact, unless you and your opponents are very good beer pong players, I don't recommend you playing it because it will take forever and be boring. If you guys are used to running the table and are looking for a little more of a challenge then go ahead and play this. My partner and I have gone to tables and played for money offering to play assassin rules vs regular rules. We win about half the time, its not a profitable way to play but its more fun and its the only way we can get some legitimate action.
There are other rules associated with Assassin. There is no "hot shots" or roll backs in assassin, each player gets one shot per turn. Also you have to play 10 cup for a legitimate game. This is a really good way to practice if you and your teammate have aspirations of taking down some local pong tournaments!
Rich has been playing beer pong for over 7 years now and regular plays assassin with his buddies. If you're going on vacation anytime soon check out his web page about
