Many marketers are so far too busy building links to pay attention to some of the simple SEO factors. They are forgetting that the on page factors are vital in SEO.

These are relatively easy for you to do and should be one of the first things you do with any new site. Wordpress is ideal because it has been designed from the ground up with SEO in mind.

Firstly, set your title tag. This must be 64 characters in length. Any longer and it will be shortened and this will look very odd in the search engine results.

The title tag needs to advise people what your site is about in such a way to entice them in to your website. It must include the main keyword for each page. All the pages on your site needs to have a title tag unique to it. You should never use the same title tag on every page.

You must not forget about your meta keywords and meta description tags. These are used by the search engine robots to help understand what your site is about. These are not vital to the search engines as most of them analyze your site to determine what it's about.

These are of importance if you are using Adsense because without these meta tags in place, you will see your Adsense ads are not targeted towards your niche.

The meta description is of importance because it appears in the search engine rankings. In this 150 characters you have to get people to click through to your website. This sentence must be enticing and to the point.

These both should be different for every page in your site.

Any pictures on your website have what is known as ALT tags. These tags provide an alternative description for the visually impaired. The search engines look at these and can get your images ranking well. Make sure you don't attach the same keyword to too many ALT tags and add the word graphic, picture, image or something like it afterwards. This indicates to the the search engines your website is important for those keywords.

Your header 1 or H1 tag needs to also include your main keyword. This again shows that your site is important for that keyword.

Using your keyword well within the body of your page and including related keywords with it will also help your site rank.

You must be sure you do not spam or keyword stuff any of your pages because it is a reliable method to get yourself dropped from the search engine.

Some simple on page search engine optimization can give you the edge in the battle for top search engine rankings. Bear in mind that this isn't done by all marketers this, and this can give you the advantage over your competition, which is vital for your profitable success.
There are some other very effective tactics to attract more Traffic to your website beside onpage SEO, I highly recommend the Classifield Marketing Tactics package, revealing three highly effective Traffic generation tactics and the Free Traffic System, this system enables you to build massive backlinks and a steady stream of traffic to your website!
