It seems now that Nokia's design department has changed personal or else had a revamp and changed direction with their ideas. Ten to fifteen years ago Nokia was top of the tree in the mobile phone handset league. Their phones were the most stylish and hence the most popular. Their main competitor in those days was Ericsson who in my opinion had better technology, but the handsets did not look half as nice always resembling a brick no matter what the size. As we all know Ericsson joined with Sony. The Ericsson technology and the Sony designs resulted into a serious competitor for Nokia. And strangely to me Nokia started to change the appearance of their phones making not such appealing models in design. This allowed the Sony Ericsson combination to eat into Nokia's dominance. But now I think that perhaps Nokia have realised this and woken up. Just take a look at the X series phones, the Nokia X6 and the X3.
Scheduled for release in the 4th quarter of 2009 the Nokia X6 has a perfectly timed release for Christmas time. And this handset will most definitely find itself on many Christmas shopping lists and in many Christmas stockings this year. It comes in two colour schemes of either Black/Red or White/Blue with a price tag of approximately £450.It is not the cheapest of handsets out there in the market but by jove it is certainly one of the most sleek looking. This is a phone you will be happy to be seen out with. Lets hope the phone is as successful as predicted and Nokia continue to develop looks in this vein.
