Clinical Hypnotherapy: Lose Weight Simply and Easily

Every wonder if hypnotherapy could help you lose weight? Let�s look at a typical hypnotherapy sessions; the first meeting would be an assessment, both of you would decide if clinical hypnotherapy was a prudent course of action for you. You would be asked if you were ready to change and if you are willing to perform the home work provided.

Your first session, you would sit in a chair or lay on a table and the coach would utilize a technique called progressive relaxation. For example they would use a very slow and soothing voice pattern while they tell you to relax specific body parts such as �relax and breath deeply� while they assure you that you are completely safe and comfortable. Once you were in a hypnotic state, they utilize beautiful imagery and create an ideal environment. They paint lovely pictures with words for the you, while having you utilize all of your senses, for example, the coach would tell you to �feel the warmth of the yellow sunshine caressing your beautiful skin� or they might say �you feel the sand under your firm, uplifted, thin, body� or � you love the way fresh, crunchy, vegetables taste, the vibrant, yellow, reds, and greens are so appealing to you, raw vegetables taste better to you then any other food�. You do not specify specific vegetables, due to the client may be allergic or have a strong dislike of certain vegetables.


Once you were in a deep hypnotic state the coach implants behavioral and lifestyle suggestions into the subconscious mind, such as �exercise is now fun, easy, and exciting, you love taking care of your radiantly healthy slim body�, or �every cell in your body is completely nourished by tiny amounts of nutrient dense foods�, or �it is effortless and easy for you to only eat tiny amounts of foods that nourish your thin body�.

A huge obstacle to my clients success is their own negative self-talk. Their minds are full of the negative words they heard along time ago which they restate almost non-stop. They constantly say negative and self defeating statements to themselves, so I have incorporated into my practice daily affirmations. I have personally observed the power of reframing thoughts; it allows the client to completely change the way in which they speaks to themselves. If a client is unwilling to utilize the affirmations I give them, I decline to work with them.


The behavioral and lifestyle changes that you undergo are amazing for example, a client who drank a two litter bottle of soda daily and ate at a fast food restaurant three meals a day is now eating oatmeal with fruit for breakfast, packs a salad with low fat-dressing and cooks fish and steamed vegetables for dinner. They also find that they love to move their bodies, be it though dance, walking, or weight lifting, the client begins to love and cherish their body and starts to have fun taking care of themselves. It amazes me when I start to see the change, a client who sat with their shoulder slumped, with poor eye contact now gazes straight into to my eyes and sit-up tall and strong, exuding confidence. They now groom themselves and wear styles clothes; their lives blossom and open up in beautiful and unexpected ways.


In closing, remember, you have choices where hypnotherapy is for you or not, you still have to take daily actions, you are much more powerful than you realize!
