Every user, company, or server has an online IP address and this serves as a sort of location number. It becomes your unique identity as you browse around the Internet. Our IP address itself holds a lot of information and we should learn how to either manage our IP or protect our information.
The main reason for hiding or changing our IP address is to protect the data that we have left on the Internet. Examples of these data are our online accounts, our emails, passwords, and many more. Our browsing history can also be traced even if our Internet browsers have their own security settings. In order to ward off malicious attackers and prevent them from getting to our data, we need to hide our location. Thus we need to hid or change our IP address.

Another reason for this precaution would be to prevent hackers from hacking into our systems and crashing our computer. There are really just some people who think it is fun to pour numerous viruses and antispyware into your computer. You would be left with a damaged system which you would have to reboot or reformat. There may also be a chance that by the time you have fixed your computer, it would be too late. Your credit card numbers may have already been stolen and your identity questioned.

Do you now know why it is important to change your IP address from time to time? You can use an anonymous proxy server to frequently change your location every time you go online. Anonymous surfing is common nowadays, and it helps to hide your real address while you browse your favorite websites. It will be your “fake” IP that will be recorded by outside Internet entities while your real one is free from their logs. Another good use with anonymous proxy is when we find that our IP address has been blocked by a certain website. The blockage could be due to violations, bandwidth limits, or other reasons. With anonymous surfing, you can get a new IP address that can slip through these restrictions.

All that have been stated above are well-known facts among the Internet savvy. We have already made precautionary measures to protect our online privacy. For the users who are new to the Internet though, this is something that they have to take heart to. Your IP address is something that should not be exposed over the Web. Surfing online is fun, but when a hacker hits you it could turn your experience into a nightmare. This is why all the more new users should change IP address.
