Vashu had her wet hair opened, sitting under the sun outside of her parents house focusing the mountains. She admired the beauty of those mounts, trees and birds around the neighbouring area day after day.

Today being a Wednesday, she was sure the next few days of her lonely life going to be fun. She was expecting her sisters, their husbands and children to arrive as earlier as possible. She didn’t have anything much to look forward other than caring for her old parents, and maintaining their old house where she was born, brought up and remained all her life. Unlike her other two sisters and four brothers she never got married or left the parents. At the age of forty three she thought nothing much has changed in life but all she had was a memory of her man she once loved and will always love.

Her sad eyes were focused on the mountains, nevertheless it kept her going many times, days, months and years, seated beside the house looking at them again and again. Her painful lifetime of Mohan’s memories, each day remained with her as if they were her own property. Once, she was young, with full of energy, pretty figure by incident attracted her beloved lover. His calm personality excited her not her family. She had forgotten her conservative family in front of his eyes. Battle started when the parents came to know their secret affair. That unfaithful day decided her unfortunate future which no one knew it would turn to be like today.

She can hardly control her tears rolling down her faded cheeks, the way they had parted for the sake of her parents. Despite Mohan’s request to run away with him she had chosen to satisfy her family. That decision made her life changed. All those proposals her parents, sisters, brothers and relatives have arranged didn’t select a suitable partner but made her very lonely.

As she looks back, she thought being alive was lot harder in this sorrowful life journey. That was no use…no use without an end.
