Today he has made it easier for mothers of all ages to get their degrees, weather it be online, or at a college or university of their choice. He passed a stimulus package that pays up to $10,000 a year for low-income mothers to pay for their educational expenses.
There is another great part of this package and that is the money never has to be paid back. Our government funds it!
In these trying times it is hard for a single mother to work at a low paying job and take care of her family so the means of getting a degree were out of the question. But, with the President Obama Scholarship program it makes it easier for mothers to leave their low paying job, and get their degree. He makes sure that all they have to do is worry about studying! So they can return back to the work force with better paying jobs, and a better future for their families.
There is one form that needs to be filled out and it can be picked up at a local college or university, or filled out online. This is a comprehensive form. It is called the FASFA (Free Application for Student Aid) form.
