There are web designers who design websites and are far more concerned about the frontage of the website. Rather than making it simpler and easy for the users to use the web site they make it more complex ignoring the usability of the website. Here are some top 10 mistakes a web designer makes that they avoid.
1 - Scrolling Text Marquees and Constantly Running Animation
While you going thru a website you regularly face problems like movement of texts or images. It is more like you not giving a service but providing a headache to the buyer. These moving images or texts have overpowering effect on the human peripheral vision. In some cities this has been a continual attack on the human senses. It could also have a bad effect on visual acuity. The web designers should conquer this problem and give some peace to the clients.

2 - Frames
Frames make it complex for the user to bookmark the page in use and even sometimes make it difficult for the user to come back to the page. It is also difficult to make printouts and frequently the URLS stop working. Someone who is navigating the web site can have a nosebleed if he is not technical.
3 - Bleeding Edge Technology
A bleeding edge technology is whatever goes on to be the web technology of the moment. Java and shockwave were in use this year its DHTML and XML. Whatever these names means are trivial and only the users with bleeding edge technology can milk these. The only way to know if you're not using the bleeding edge technology is to be certain that everything is working properly and good in Netscape Navigator and web Explorer both.

The user's have tiny patience if they don't understand anything on the web site then they have bn. other options and they can go and serve on some other website which is much faster and easier to use and give the information needed with better service. This can also have a bad effect of your internet site's reputation and you can expect the users to escape away and not come back to you shortly. It's way better to make the website worth using and make the purchasers yours forever.
4 - Orphan Pages
An orphan page is a page without any associated pages attached to it. It may also look up to pages that don't subsist any longer. The pages used should have the link going to the homepage and should be related to the same website. I frequently see users can enter the website using any page than the main page. This is all thanks to the shortage of management and poor update. The site management software makes it simple for the web designer to repair faulty links and non-existent pages.

5 - Outdated information
When people make website, in the beginning they're extremely excited about it and keep the website updated but later they feel its really laborious and they do not give much attention to it making the clients feel uncomfortable and disappear. It's the duty of a web designer to keep the website updated and maintain the contents of the site. Maintenance is a cheap way to enhance the content of your website since many old pages keep their relevance and should be linked into the new pages.
6 - Complicated URLS
A web designer should attempt to make the URLS easy and simple by using short names and with no special characters in it. This may help the user navigate your internet site simply.
7 - Long Scrolling Pages
All content option should be on the top of the screen. The user will only scroll if he sees that there is anything useful lower down the page.
8 - Lack of Navigation Support
Don't think the user's knows about the website as much as you do. They have trouble finding information. We should provide a site map since only the best navigation support will never be enough so we also require a good search feature.
9 - Non Standards Link colours
Red and purple are used for the website that has been used and blue is used for un-open websites. Do not mess with these colours since the facility to understand what links have been followed is one of the navigational assistants.
10 - Long Download Times
If downloading will take plenty of time user will lost interest in the website and will look for another. 10 seconds is the maximum time on the web, 15 seconds are acceptable for at least one page.
