Have you ever heard of Kerala? It is the most beautiful place on the globe. Have you ever traveled through the magnificent backwaters of Kerala? Once visited you will not forget Kerala, because it is such a beautiful abode. In this article I will try to take you through Kerala from south to north.

You can get a flight and land at the Trivadrum ( Thiruvananthapuram Airport). Trivandrum itself is a fascinating place. It is the capital of Kerala; you have many beautiful forts, temples, waterfalls, beaches etc to see in this place and around. You may need two to three days to enjoy these fully.

Now move to the Quilon (Kollam) which has also great backwater travels, and birth places of the great spiritual leader "Sree Narayana Guru", The "Matha Amrithananda Mayi ashram", Which is of interest to spiritual seekers. Also you can visit tunnels, Fishing harbors and so many other things.


Now moving still north you reach the Aleppy district. Again beautiful backwaters, beaches welcome you. Also churches of historical importance, the churches established by St. Thomas are there.
You may visit many temples and also enjoy boat races if you are in time. Do not forget to buy classical coir products.
Also to the east is Sabarimala one of the most important pilgrim centers of Kerala.

Moving east you may reach Kottayam, So many places of historical importance are there. Also you may visit churches, hill stations and so on.

Moving a bit south Ernakulam or the beautiful Cochin is there, Don't forget to visit Fort Cochin, and you may need two to three days also to see the sights. Also you can enjoy the beauty of the Marine Drive, or visit the Thattekkadu bird sanctuary, or visit many places. Also you may be visiting many mosques, churches and temples. Again do not forget to have a boating, or a visit at the Bolgatty palace.


Again moving east by bus, you may spend another two to three days visiting hill stations like Munnar, Thekkady or Devikulam.So many beautiful things are here. Many dams, Many temples, Old forts and so on.

Now moving still north you can visit Trichur, Again if it is right time you may be seeing the Great festival "Trichur Pooram" Also you can move to Guruvayoor, the world famous temple. Also you can see elephants and so on.

Moving still north you get to Wynadu, the beautiful forests, elephants and so many other things.

Still north is Calicut, which is sleeping in its lost glory. You can see many forts. Also the backdrops of Portuguese rule in India can be seen in these places.

Still north is Kannur , the cradle of folklore of Kerala

Moving north you reach Kasargode, The majestic Bakel Fort and so many other natural beauties.

After this, you can go to Mangalore and start exploring the beautiful Karnataka.
