If you are not satisfied with the water flow from your old shower head, then it might be a good idea to replace the showerhead itself. This will solve most of your water if you are not getting enough water pressure out of the showerhead. Replacing a shower head is an easy task, and is a simple do it yourself project for an afternoon. You will not have to spend very much time putting the new shower head in.

You will need to make sure that you find another shower head that will fit your bathroom before you do the replacement, however. This should not be too hard to do as most shower heads and showerhead stems are the same standard size.

The first problem that you might have while you're installing a new shower head is the fact that you have to take the old shower head off. This could be a problem if it is a very old showerhead, as it might be on the showerhead stem very tightly. You might also have problems with hard water deposits on the shower head. This will make it harder to unscrew the shower head from its location. If you have this problem, make sure that you're careful not to bend the showerhead stem.

You can get a good grip on the showerhead stem by using pliers to hold it in place. In order to make sure that you don't scratch the stem, however, you should also use a pad of some sort or even just a piece of leather to maintain a grip on the stem with the pliers.

Before you put the new shower head into place, you should wrap teflon tape around the showerhead stem threads three times in order to make sure that you will get a good seal when you install the new showerhead.

Then, make sure that you install the new showerhead by screwing it into place. Make sure that you get a good seal between the shower head and the shower head stem. That way, you won't have to worry about leaking water while the shower is being used.
