golf swing - how to achieve the perfect golf swing

Stance
A good stance is the foundation for a great golf swing. Be sure to stand tall with your heels shoulder-width apart. Bend slightly forward at your hips keeping your back straight and letting your behind stick out. Your arms should hang down like a monkey. Be sure, however, to keep your chin up. Try to focus on the ball with the bottom of your eyes. Right-handed golfers should let your right side tilt slightly lower than the left. The ball portion of both feet should equally support your weight - this is a key point in any golf lesson to help your golf swing improve.

Now relax the knees slightly (be sure that when you do this, you keep your behind sticking out). This is an integral part to achieving the perfect stance. Avoid positioning yourself in a seated position that will hinder your ability to shift your weight properly. We can not emphasize enough that a great golf swing is difficult to attain without first mastering your stance. The key to realizing the proper stance is practice, practice, practice. Standing in front of a mirror greatly helps. Follow these golf lesson stance tips and your golf swing will improve greatly.

Swing
When you first make contact with the ball, make sure your hands are to the left of your pants zipper and just right of your left knee (for right-handed golfers). This position will put your hands ahead of the club head, which is the ideal contact position. Your hands should always lead the head of your club. If you follow these simple golf lesson techniques, you will be amazed at how much cleaner you hit the golf ball.

Hitting Further
Golfers often emulate famed golfers. Players such as Tiger Woods have become a household name. In recent years golfers have attempted to mimic Tiger Woods' "two-pivot swing." Today, this golf swing is deemed a "model" swing by many. Take this Tiger Wood golf tip and implement it into your own golf game.

During your backswing, your upper body will turn; while turning, allow your left shoulder to move across and to the right so that your left shoulder is above your right foot at the top of your backswing. Begin your forward swing as you always do but attempt to finish with your right shoulder above your left foot (as if you are moving slightly ahead of the shot). By doing so, you will finish your golf swing in a more vertical position and look like Tiger!
