The best thing about your postcard marketing is that you don’t need custom envelopes to accompany your print postcards. When you send them out, you can just mail your print postcards directly without having to concern yourself with envelope printing that costs you additional dollars to produce.

And since you don’t need custom envelopes to hide your message, what you can do next is to grab the attention of your target clients with your headline.

That’s right. You need to pay attention to your headline if you want to appeal to their curiosity and keep them interested in your message. A strong and powerful headline in your postcard marketing can generate a positive response from your offer and help you increase your profits for your business.

Here’s how:

Check your headline.

Have you checked what you’ve written lately? Because if you feel you’re not getting the results you expect, it might very well be because of your headline. One thing’s for sure – your postcards don’t turn heads and definitely do not keep their attention enough to know what you say in your message. The right headline is the best way to either make it or break it in your industry. Without a powerful headline, you can’t very well make an offer that can convince your target audience to purchase your product or service.

What’s in your headline?

Since you don’t have an expensive envelope printing to grab the attention of your target audience, your headline gets the responsibility of doing that. It would be the very first thing that your target audience would see and read. If it’s poorly written then that’s the end for your postcard marketing. Your postcard won’t even stand a chance. It’ll go directly to the garbage can if your recipient had anything to say about it. It’s either you invoke curiosity or your headline raise nothing from your recipients.

It takes less than 5 seconds.

That’s right. It takes less than 5 seconds for your headline to appeal to their curiosity. Within that specified time your headline should already be able to capture the attention, pique the curiosity, and convince the reader to read more of what you have to say. It’s moot to point out that when your print postcard doesn’t do any of these things, then it’s the trash can for you.

So, how do you write your headline?

Appeal to both the mind and emotion of your target readers. Promise them what they want; give them what they’re looking for. And what they’re looking for are the benefits. A powerful headline that gets read always provides the benefits. Your headline then should deliver exactly that. Provide your target audience with something of value to make them want to know more of your business.

It’s not an easy task; but creating a strong headline can go a long way in generating curiosity to your message. Eventually, when they ask to know more, you’ll be able to convince them of your worth and therefore make them want to purchase your product or service.
