Front flips are one of the most enjoyable things you can do on a trampoline and this article will show you how to do a front flip, with step by step instructions, frequent problems and how to fix them.

Step 1: Before you attempt a front flip, do what we call a tuck jump. While in midair, tuck your knees to your chest while keeping your balance. Stop piking your legs right before you land. Do this over and over again until you feel comfortable.
Second Step: The next step is to try a flip and fall onto your bottom or back. Start by performing a somersault with no jump. Then slowly get a small amount of jump, but remember that you don't have to jump very high for this. If you're still too afraid, try tilting your head a little bit to side during your flip so you can spot your landing. If this works for you, don't get too accustomed to tilting your as it sometimes leads to off axis flips. Also, try to land comparatively next to to the place on the tramp where you take off If you find your self moving forward significantly in your flip, then your are probably early. This means that you are initiating your flip too early in your bounce which makes the force of your flip to move outwards instead of upwards. Continue doing this until you feel comfortable with performing it in a small to medium jump.

Third Step: Now attempt a front flip! The more you keep thinking about the front flip the less likely you are to really attempt it. Just begin with a small bounce and there's hardly any bad that can occur. After you have a medium jump, when you begin to feel the bed of the trampoline pushing you up then thrust your arms forward and let your chest to drop. After you become airborne, perform a pike from Step 1 and tuck your head down add into your sternum. Do no hold this position too much longer than about half of a second. Finally, let your feet straighten out and pick up your head which will straighten your body and slow down your rotation. Since landing front flips flawlessly is very tough, it may take you some time to master it. Some advice to landing good front flips is to jump higher (but not too high!) so you have more time to look for your landing and adjust your flip to the situation. Also, it help to use your hands to help correct your body; if you do not quite make it around then push your hands forward. Likewise, if you over rotated, then push your hands upwards to the sky. Thanks for reading and good luck on your flips!
