To start a
consulting business successfully you need clients, and an autoresponder is one way to get new clients. Potential clients need to feel confident in your expertise and this is one way to demonstrate it to them. You can use an autoresponder to create a mini-course around your topic of expertise. You offer the course as an incentive to website visitors in return for their email address. They provide their email and sign up on your autoresponder.
To create a mini-course step #1 is to select your topic and break it down into different sub-topics. The course should have a time limit, such as a 5-day mini-course or a 7-day mini-course and each subtopic you can assign to be discussed on a particular day for the course. On the first day, this is where you introduce yourself and the topic to your new subscriber. The key element of a successful mini-course is that it provides information that is of interest to the subscriber and provides value to him or her.
When you start a consulting business and launch it with a mini-course you need to include the number of that lesson, the lesson topic title and information about your company. Also promote the lesson for the next day at the end.
The key to making your mini-course a successful one is making sure you provide valuable information to the readers. If the information lacks value, you will be associated with a lack of value and your readers will not become clients.
When you are designing the course, you can do so using a number of tools. One way you can do this is to create the entire course using a word processing or text-editing tool so you can store each lesson in one location. Once you have the entire course created, you will want to review it, edit it and then copy it over to your autoresponder. That is it! Your course is ready to be emailed out to all of your subscribers. As they receive each course lesson if you did a good job with the design they will feel like you are an expert in your area of expertise. Once they are ready to hire a consultant, they are going to call you and you will have clients to work with as you start a consulting business.
