n today's competitive world, being only a graduate does not serve the purpose. Higher studies after graduation has become a must to survive in such a world. An MBA degree is always helpful in such cases. But if you want to pursue any of the MBA courses from any of the reputed B schools in India, then it will cost you a huge amount of money. MBA programs pursued abroad, will be hard to pursue without a scholarship. There is however no reason to lose hope. A good many sources are now readily avialable at hand from where a candidate can get funds for his or her MBA program. Some of them are:


· Scholarships and grants

If you are searching for financial support, then the best way is to search for scholarships or grants which are available from government and private foundations. Scholarships are not required to be repaid because they are given to the aspiring students as awards. These are given on basis of merit, exceptional academic or a good professional record and their potentiality to make big in the future. Such scholarships are highly competitive and are hard to get.


There are some grants which are given to a limited number of students. For example, students from a certain ethnicity , religion, or nationality or those with particular academic interest, etc are eligible for such grants.


· Business school scholarships or grants

Many business schools offer their own scholarships and grants to the students on the basis of merit. These are again very competitive. Business schools offer such scholarships to attract applicants to them. These offers can solve finance related problem to a certain extent. There are some business schools which offer loans but accordng to particular conditions.


· Loans

Even after getting grants or scholarships you can take up loans to finance the expenses of studies and living. There are many banks, institutions which offer educational loans to students. But the rates and terms and conditions vary according to the loans applied for. Before taking up any loan, it is always advisable to go through the prospects related to such a thing. Loans are required to be repaid within a certain period after getting a job.




· Corporate sponsorships

There are many people who want to pursue MBA courses along with their work. To help such students, many big companies offer scholarships or certain programs so that they can broaden their education, knowledge and skills. But most of the time such companies may ask you to get into an agreement to stay with that company for certain period of time after completing the course. So before you avail such facility and get into an agreement, always consider whether such contract will be helpful to you in the long term or not.


These are some of the sources from where you can arrange fund for your MBA program. But getting into any top MBA schools is not the end of everything, your potentiality and perseverance to make the best out of it matters the most to succeed in life.
