Bookmarking Demon has always been really easy to create new social bookmarking accounts with, but BMD5 makes this even simpler with the new email verification function. As you know, when you create accounts on social bookmarking sites, many of them require you to login to your email and click on a link to verify your account. With BMD5, you don't have to do this anymore. Now you just add in your email accounts, and the software will perform the account verification for you with a click of the 'Process Emails' button. There is default support for the gmail account settings, although you do have to login to your gmail and manually enable POP access so BMD can properly retrieve your emails.
I do have a couple of issues with BMD5 that I have encountered so far. For one, the list of social bookmarking accounts that say they require a captcha isn't very accurate. In my tests, I had to enter in several captchas even though I had selected only accounts that BMD said didn't require one. The other thing to note is that BMD5 still seems to have some stability issues, as the program did hang on me once. However, as a longtime BMD owner, I know that Edwin is really fast with the updates, so I am sure all these issues will be addressed in due time.
Finally the program will automatically download a list of proxies which are used to submit through so you don not reveal any information about you to any of the networks. Next you have just to hit "Submit" and let it run then watch your rankings and traffic go CRAZY.
Every time you do a new bookmarking run you will want to sign up to the sites with a different username and password as you don't want the same "person" bookmarking the same think over and over. You want the bookmarks to be coming from different users. Repeatedly having to sign up is more time consuming with the real bookmarking sites because of the hoops you have to jump through (screen captcha and verifying accounts), but it takes just a minute or two with the scuttle sites.
The links you will be getting may show up tomorrow, next month, six months from now, or never. That is indeed frustrating but that is the nature of the Internet and the main search engines. The links will show up in Yahoo first as they are more liberal than Google in showing links. Additionally, I have had my bookmarking links show up on the first page of Google when my actual site was no where to be found. I have gotten some traffic in those instances. When you see your links showing up on Google or Yahoo you at least know they are there and doing you some good.
