Cleaning the litter box really is not that hard to do. All that is required is that the cat owner take a scoop out once or twice a day and use it to place the cat's waste into a bag to be thrown away. If this is not done, the first problem a cat owner will be faced with is a nasty odor in the house. The second problem will be that the cat may start to relieve themselves in other areas of the house (like the carpet or furniture). Cats do not like to use a gross litter box and if their box is not clean they will go elsewhere to do their business.
About once a week the whole box should be dumped out and cleaned. To do this, simply pour out all the dirty litter into a trash bag and wipe the box down with soapy water.
Cleaning the litter box should be a chore a cat does itself. It should be something they are trained to do right after being litter-trained. Can't you just imagine? After using the litter box, the little cat would wait a couple minutes for the clump to settle and then use his paws to scrape its mess into an awaiting paper bag. The cat would even roll the top of the bag down and leave it waiting beside the box for a human to dispose of it.
That would be amazing.
Unfortunately there probably isn't a cat in the world capable of learning how to do such a trick. This means that the responsibility is left to the cat owner.
What a chore. Wouldn't it be great if we did not have to do it? Wait, you really don't have to. Follow the link to see how you can forget about Cleaning the Litter Box as you know it, ever again!!!
