I had been aiming to quit smoking for many years when I met up with an old friend called Paul. Paul strangely enough was the person who had introduced me to cigarettes when I was just fifteen years of age. He had been smoking for a couple of years at this point and on one evening, when we were at a local football match, he asked if I would like to try one. If I only I had been stronger and had answered in the negative. Try one I did, I expected it to knock my head off for some reason and I have to say that I was less than impressed with the results. Despite this, I continued to smoke these cigarettes for the next ten years.
On this latest meeting Paul started to tell me about how he had managed to quit smoking in just seven days. This was very interesting for myself, the chap who had got me started on this horrible habit of smoking could possibly be the man to help me to quit.
Paul gave me a business card of a hypnotherapist who had helped him to quit smoking. If I was to see him four times in one week, I would then not only be able to stop smoking but I would actually find the habit repulsive.
I took my friends advice and am happy to report that this hypnotherapist worked wonders and I am now able to live a smoke-free life.
