Web surfers make split-second decisions as to whether the website they just arrived at is actually worth sticking around. This quick determination is usually based on the first impression of the web content. The quality of the web content provided by your site is immediately judged by the visitor. If this quality is lacking in some way, you may have lost a potential sale when they leave to look for the information from some other source. Possibly a competitor. If you want your website to see any worthwhile success, your website must command visitor attention for longer than a couple seconds. Stay a cut above the rest, then. Your website should provide content that attracts and holds your visitors attention. When creating web content for a page, keep a couple simple rules in mind:* Keep the content relevant to the topic of the page. Don't stray too far off-topic. An entirely new topic deserves a new page (this is good for search engines as well). * Provide web content that is useful, well-researched, and is a pleasure to read. Speak to the reader directly, as if you're talking to a friend or family member.* Make sure your web content has few misspellings, if any. Web content that contains a lot of mistakes or has bad grammar is an immediate turn-off for the visitor.Search engines also seem to have a funny way of putting well-written content up at the top of the rankings, too. Google is especially notorious for this - put it to the test yourself. Search any well-known topic and you'll find the top few spots dominated by web content providers with information rich, readable writing. This isn't terribly hard to reproduce, however. If you already have interest and experience with the topic you're writing about, you have a distinct advantage. Creating web content on topics that you're familiar with should be much easier for you than topics you have little-no knowledge of. Not only will the quality of the content be better, but you'll also be able to churn out articles at a quicker pace because you already know all the research. It may be a little more difficult if you're trying to create good quality content on a topic you have no knowledge of. Without previous experience or knowledge, it will take more time researching, but it's still entirely possible.
