I caught the bug of writing articles in 2005. I was soon posting each article to around forty of the different article marketing websites. I certainly do not do this anymore, I now only submit to what I believe are the five main sites. To ensure that these articles are unique, it is a very good idea to make some changes to the article before submitting them to each site. That way you are helping other webmasters to avoid any penalty for duplicate content. For this reason I also refrain from publishing the article on my own websites.
This is one big must, your content needs to be unique, if you can adopt this approach you will have a much greater chance of reaching the top of the natural search engine results.
There are now so many articles of worthless content from people who are trying to spam their way to the top. Search engines like Google are starting to hit back, I am also very impressed with ezinearticles who now have two editors checking each article.
Forget PLR articles this is the lazy way of promoting your site. Hard work pays off, hire a ghostwriter if you do not have the time but do not fall into the trap of hiring cheap labour from countries such as India, as usual quality comes at a price. English lets face it is not even their mother tongue.
For 2007/2008 quality is important not quantity. My last tip but an important one to remember, deep linking is essential, do not just point all of the links towards your homepage. Good luck my fellow webmasters.
