A lot of these problems are caused by a cluttered home. Clutter can be a lifestyle and suggests your mind is disorganised too. I have suffered from this myself. Paperwork builds up. Things get lost and forgotten. There are receipts, invoices, bills and bank statements all in heaps or even scattered around the house in various different places. We know we should sort it all out but it seems such a daunting task that we try to forget it and put it all off for another day.
There is a saying that we use fewer face muscles to smile than you do to frown. It’s a similar situation with your paperwork and your lifestyle. It takes far more effort to deal with things when you are disorganized. It is more difficult to keep your finances under control and it is a lot more depressing to run your life in this way.
If you are worrying that you really should get on and sort something out but you keep putting it off for another day then you will know exactly what I am talking about. You might spend a whole weekend bothered that you really should be sorting your finances but you put it off thinking you would rather enjoy your weekend. You don’t though, because you can’t. So instead you spend your time feeling really guilty about not doing it and depressed because you know you still have to do the task at some time. It’s not the happiest way to lead your life is it. You could perhaps spend an hour getting that bill sorted, paid and posted or even paid online saving the price of a stamp, you could relax and really enjoy your weekend having some fun with a happy state of mind and a clear conscience.
Clutter is the problem. Clutter in your mind, clutter in you home and in your lifestyle. If you can clear some of the clutter and simplify your life you will find you have more time get a lot more done and you will feel a lot happier. If you are happier then your family will be happier too. You will have more free time to spend with them and it will be quality time that you can all enjoy. You can get more out of life.
