After nine months of waiting, the Final Four contestants, James Sun, Nicole D’Ambrosio, Stefani Schaeffer and Frank Lombardi, of The Apprentice: LA finally faced Donald Trump in the live and final board room meeting of the season. Who was hired and who was sent back home?

Ultimately, the business tycoon gave the much-coveted title to Stefani Schaeffer, the Los Angeles-based defense attorney. However, before Trump revealed his decision, he commented on Stefani’s low-key performance throughout most of the season. Stefani, who had been known as “The Realist” in the competition, believes that the reason why Trump and the viewers saw her in such light was because of the editing of the show. She claims that she actively participated in every challenge and always put her best foot forward. What the people saw of her during the last few episodes leading up to the live board room meeting was how she was all throughout the competition.

Why then was her performance so downplayed on screen? Perhaps because there were far more juicy situations brewing in the foreground, which included of course, the love affair between Tim Urban and Nicole D’Ambrosio. Still, Stefani isn’t complaining as she not only received the opportunity of a lifetime, but will also be getting a large amount of money for being Trump’s latest apprentice.

Surprisingly, the long period of time between the last challenge and the final board room meeting did not prove to be too agonizing for Stefani. She immersed herself in her work in order to rid herself of unnecessary anxiety. This wasn’t so hard to do because going back to her old routine meant going back to extremely busy work days.

Going into the competition, Stefani absolutely dreaded being eliminated early on in the competition. After the first two contestants, Marissa deMato and Aaron Altscher, were fired, she felt more motivated to come out at the top, and fortunately, she did.
